Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Android Camera Framework Developer to join our Camera
Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Android Camera Framework,
multimedia technologies, and native Android development. The role involves developing and
optimizing camera solutions, enhancing user experience, troubleshooting complex issues, and
driving innovation in camera software technologies.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Android Camera Framework components and camera-
related software solutions.

Work closely with Camera2 API, Camera Service modules, Multimedia Frameworks, and
Video Codecs.
Develop high-performance, reusable, and reliable software using Java, C++, and JNI.
Analyze and improve memory, performance, and power optimization aspects of camera
applications.
Develop and execute unit tests and automation test cases to ensure software quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end camera features and
enhancements.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve field/customer issues efficiently.
Contribute to research activities, technical innovations, patents, technical papers, and
conference publications.
Mandatory Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related
field.
Strong knowledge of:
Android Platform
Camera2 API
Multimedia Framework
Video Codecs
Google Camera Framework (Camera Service Module)
Hands-on experience in:
Java 8
C++
JNI Development
Multithreading
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Design Patterns
Good understanding of Operating System concepts.
Experience with Android Studio and Gradle Build System.
Knowledge of version control tools such as Git and Perforce (P4).
Experience in Unit Testing and Automation Testing.
Strong understanding of memory, power, and performance optimization techniques.
Preferred Skills
Experience in Camera Application Development.
Knowledge of Android HAL and Camera Stack Architecture.
Exposure to image processing technologies.
Experience in debugging complex multimedia and camera framework issues.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
