Android Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Android Developer with 3 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Android development, mobile application architecture, API integration, and performance optimization. Experience with React Native will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and user-friendly Android applications.
• Develop applications using Kotlin and/or Java and follow Android development best practices.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and external services into mobile applications.
• Implement features such as push notifications, authentication, location tracking, maps, and payment gateway integration.
• Work with Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack components, and modern development tools.
• Debug application issues, troubleshoot bugs, and optimize app performance.
• Ensure application security, stability, responsiveness, and compatibility across different Android devices and OS versions.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and product teams.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and application release processes.
• Publish and maintain applications on the Google Play Store.
• Stay updated with the latest Android technologies, frameworks, and development trends.

Required Skills

• 3 years of hands-on experience in native Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
• Good understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Android application architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON parsing, and third-party API integrations.
• Knowledge of Android Jetpack, ViewModel, LiveData, Room, or similar Android components.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Understanding of application lifecycle management, memory optimization, and debugging techniques.
• Knowledge of mobile application security and performance optimization.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React Native will be an added advantage.
• Experience integrating payment gateways, chat SDKs, Google Maps, and location-based services.
• Familiarity with Firebase services, push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and mobile application deployment processes.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
