API Test Engineer - Banking

The Role

As an API Test Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in making sure critical API services work exactly as they should. You will design and run end-to-end API test scenarios in Postman, strengthen test coverage across additional currencies and Multi-Currency Accounts (MCA), and support UAT, regression and release validation. This is a hybrid role where you will work closely with both business users and technology teams, so strong communication is just as important as technical know-how.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, review and refine API test scenarios and test cases
• Execute API testing using Postman, including end-to-end and negative test cases across all TB API scenarios
• Support UAT, regression testing and completeness testing based on existing API Business User Test Scenarios
• Expand test coverage to additional currencies, Multi-Currency Accounts (MCA) and other untested scenarios
• Support enhancement testing and release validation
• Maintain test evidence, test result repositories and testing documentation, and assist with test environment readiness and NGB account setup (BBO)

What We're Looking For

• 4 to 8 years of experience, with hands-on testing of REST APIs
• Mandatory Postman skills, including API collections and environment management
• Strong knowledge of HTTP methods (GET, POST) and status codes (200, 400, 401, 403, 404, 500, etc.)
• Strong ability in request/response validation and JSON payload analysis
• Solid test scenario and test case design skills, covering functional and negative testing
• Experience in defect logging and retesting
• Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with business and technology users
