App Developer Internship

An app development internship in Brisbane where the intern plans, writes, tests, documents, and maintains code for applications and platforms, contributes to team workflows and design specs, runs user research on prototypes, and gives weekly progress updates.
Tasks:
Requirements About You:
- Plan, write, maintain, test and document code for applications and platforms
- Function as an integral part of the team, working on workflows, design and pre development specification documents
- Review and contribute on a regular basis to the ongoing improvement of team practices and approaches with a view to making the team more effective and improving our service delivery
- Conduct user research with prototypes and gather feedback from early users
- Provide weekly updates to their manager and team in the form of a weekly presentation and one-on-one with their manager
Requirements About You:
- Helping the core tech team in web and app development related technologies
- Able to learn how to design, develop and maintain the development process and learn how the team is meeting agreed upon standards and requirements
- Able to learn to demonstrate solutions through documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code
- Learning and applying an ongoing management system and workflow
- Identifying problem areas and supporting solutions during development and product lifecycle
- Must demonstrate characteristics like Attention to Details, Self-starter, Hardworking, Honest and Ethical throughout the term of employment
- BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field - N/A if still at university
- Commitment to work 3 days per week for a 12 weeks period
