App DevOps Engineer

Role Mission The DevOps & Application Engineer will design, automate, andoptimizethe build-and-release ecosystem while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of StarHubs cloud-native platforms. They will manage Kubernetes operations, infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, andGitOpsworkflows, while contributing production-grade application code across multiple languages. This role accelerates engineering velocity by driving DevOps best practices, strengthening observability, and enabling consistent, high-quality deployments across the IS Division.

Key Responsibilities Define and enforce DevOps policies and best practices, with a strong focus on trunk-based development (short-lived feature branches, continuous integration gates, automated code-quality checks). Design, develop, andmaintainCI/CD pipelines in Jenkins using Pipeline-as-Code (shared libraries, scripted & declarative). Write and manage build scripts and infrastructure tooling (Shell, Python, Groovy) to automate the software-delivery lifecycle. Administer multi-cluster Kubernetes environments (EKS & OCP), including Helm chart development, RBAC, network policies, and autoscaling. ImplementGitOpsworkflows (Argo CD or Flux) to promote reproducible, auditable deployments. Provision and manage AWS resources (EKS, RDS/PostgreSQL, EC2, S3, IAM). Build andmaintainInfrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation). Contribute application code in Python, Go, or TypeScript,participatingin design reviews and performance profiling. Establishobservability with Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and incident-response workflows (PagerDuty). Author technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Masters a plus). 4+ years of combined experience in DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering. Expertisewith containerized environments, Kubernetes internals, and Helm. Hands-on production experience with Jenkins and CI/CD best practices. Proficiencyin at least one programming language (Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript). Strong SQL skills and proven PostgreSQL administration experience. Solid understanding of AWS core services, IAM security, and cost-optimization practices. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Comfortable with Linux internals, networking fundamentals, and shell scripting. Agile mindset with experience working in Scrum teams. Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Certifications Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
