Application Support Analyst/Developer

Our Business Information Services team is the backbone of technology service delivery at Dunedin City Council, ensuring staff have the systems and support they need to serve our community. We are looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst/Developer who enjoys solving problems, improving systems and turning business needs into pratical technology solutions. You'll work across application support, development and continuous improvement, collaborating with teams throughout DCC to improve workflows, resolve issues and ensure our applications continue to support the services our community relies on. The Opportunity
This full-time, role sits within our Business Information Services team and will work alongside a team of dedicated community minded people.
This is a hands-on role where you will;
- Provide business and systems analysis
- Develop and customise software applications and reports
- Support and maintain enterprise applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in line with SLA's
- Lead or support upgrades, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve processes through technology
Ideally you will have;
- At least 3 years' experience in application support and/or development
- Strong systems and business analysis capability
- Experience in software development
- Understanding of databases and structured programming
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- A strong customer focus with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment

Salary range: $83,591 - $98,342
