Designation: Application Specialist

Role: Techno Functional

• Work from office, Powai, Mumbai. No hybrid or remote.
• Working days: Sunday to Thursday, 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM. Weekly off: Friday and Saturday (Middle East week).
• Notice period: immediate joiners or up to 30 days.
• Must be open to long-term onsite travel to Saudi Arabia.
• Key Job Responsibilities:
• Support functionally and technically different versions of Capital Markets workflow and data management platform.
• Gather, analyse, validate, and manage business requirements.
• Writing functional and technical specifications for business requirements.
• Create scripts using SQL, PowerShell, VBScript and command line.
• Create reports using SSRS.
• Perform Regression as well as Sanity testing.
• Design products/workflows which meet specification documents.
• Go-Live preparation and support.
• Work with product managers.
• Perform file/database backups, test and evaluate existing systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain products.
• Create product documentation.
• Monitor workflows and schedules for missed deadlines and respond to system alerts in a timely manner.
• Report and document incidents and escalate accordingly.

Basic Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or BE with IT or CS background.
• Tireless work ethics with working long hours.
• 6+ years in application support, production support, implementation or techno-functional roles.
• Strong hands-on SQL (MSSQL or Oracle): joins, stored procedures, writing queries to investigate data issues.
• Working knowledge of at least one language: C#, Java, Python or .NET (reading and modifying code, not necessarily full development).
• Scripting / automation in any of: PowerShell, VBScript, shell or batch scripts.
• Basic Windows and Linux / Unix command-line comfort (files, jobs, logs, scheduling).
• Experience in the weakth management/ capital-markets space with understanding of at least one of: fund accounting, trade lifecycle / trade operations, securities reference data, NAV, reconciliations, hedge funds or asset management.

Good-to-have skills (strong plus, not mandatory)

Any fund-accounting or portfolio platform: Advent Geneva (RSL), APX, SS&C products, Eagle, SimCorp, Enfusion, Arcesium, Paxus, Investran, Multifonds, FIS Investment Accounting

• Good written and spoken English; comfortable on client calls.

Willing to work from office SundayThursday and travel to Saudi Arabia long term.
