The objective of the Applications Engineer is to provide technical support, evaluate customer requirements, recommend effective engineering solutions, and collaborate with sales, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product selection, implementation, and customer satisfaction.

  • Assist customers in selecting products and engineering solutions that meet their application requirements.
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
  • Prepare technical quotations, proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Provide technical support to sales representatives and customers.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and project engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Answer technical inquiries via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
  • Perform engineering calculations related to product sizing and selection.
  • Support product testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and project documentation.
  • Participate in customer visits, trade shows, and training as needed.
  • Continuously develop product knowledge and stay informed about industry trends.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Internship or co-op experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical sales.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
  • Experience with ERP or CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of fluid systems, pumps, valves, hydraulics, automation, or industrial equipment (depending on the industry).
