Applications & Layout Engineer: Innovative System Designer

GEA Group is seeking an Application Engineer to analyze customer requirements and develop customized technical solutions aligned with our product portfolio. You will define technical offers with the Sales and Quotation teams and ensure projects meet cost, timing, and technical content targets.

The role involves feasibility studies during bidding, defining system layouts, and supporting the Sales team with documentation.

Analyze customer technical and application requirements. Develop customized technical solutions aligned with the company product portfolio. Define technical offers and layouts with Sales, Quotation team and stakeholders. Ensure project effectiveness in terms of cost, timing and technical content. Perform preliminary feasibility studies for standardization and modularization during bidding. Define system layouts and configurations. Support Sales in preparing technical offers and documentation. Prepare and maintain technical documentation (schematics, descriptions, specifications). Manage technical RFQ requests and customer clarifications. Contribute to continuous improvement of technical solutions and standards. Participate in customer meetings for offer definition. Participate in internal kick-off meetings and manage Post-RAC activities within engineering. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automation or equivalent). Reading and interpreting technical drawings. Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Creo. Basic knowledge of plant layouts or industrial machinery. Good knowledge of English.
