Architect - Furniture and Interior Decor
Summary
A design-side architect role (not software engineering) at a Nigerian furniture and interior design firm: the architect meets clients, surveys sites, produces technical drawings and 3D renderings, prepares quotes, and supervises production and installation of furniture and interior projects using tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Lumion.
Job Responsibilities
● Meet with clients to understand their requirements and present customized proposals, including space planning, furniture layouts, and interior design concepts.

● Delivery of timely and accurate drawings and quotations for review
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Furniture Design, or Interior Design.
- Additional certifications in CAD, 3D Visualization, or Project Management will be a plus.
- 3–7 years’ proven experience in architectural design, interior décor, or furniture design projects.
- Demonstrated portfolio of completed interior/furniture projects showcasing creativity, functionality, and attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating with production managers, carpenters, and decorators to bring designs to life.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Lumion, or similar 3D modeling/rendering software.
- Strong understanding of space planning, ergonomics, and material application (wood, metal, upholstery, laminates, paints, glass, etc.).
- Ability to prepare detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for furniture and interior projects. Familiarity with sustainable and cost-effective design practices.
