Description

Computer Science | Artificial Intelligence internship: ai-assisted scheduler development Beschrijving Introduction The Motion Control department in Veldhoven develops software platforms that support advanced control systems used throughout ASML's lithography machines. These systems help achieve nanometer-level precision and reliable machine performance. In this internship, you will explore how AI-assisted software engineering can support the development of complex software solutions. By combining software architecture analysis, artificial intelligence, and Python development, you will contribute to an innovative prototype with potential future applications within ASML. Your assignment During this internship, you will investigate how AI-supported development methods can be used to analyze existing software and accelerate prototype creation. You will will use AI-supported development tools to extract architectural and design rules from the documentation and codebase and consolidate them into persistent, reusable artifacts. These artifacts should describe the scheduler's behavior, responsibilities, interfaces, configuration rules, and hidden assumptions. They will subsequently serve as context for implementing a functional Python-based prototype scheduler. Your main responsibilities will be: - Analyze existing software architecture and technical documentation. - Extract design rules and software requirements using AI-assisted development tools. - Develop a Python-based scheduler prototype. - Document software behavior, interfaces, and configuration requirements. - Validate the prototype in a development or testing environment. - Evaluate the opportunities and limitations of AI-assisted software development. - Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. This is a bachelor or master internship for minimum 6 months, 5 days per week (2-3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of February 2027. Your prof...
