AS400 Developer

Key Skills: AS400-RPG400-ILE, CLL, SQL, DB2, RPG ILE

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the AS400 platform based on business and technical requirements.
• Analyze application issues, identify root causes, and deliver timely fixes for production and operational incidents.
• Translate functional specifications into maintainable technical solutions and application components.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and impact analysis for application changes.
• Prepare technical documentation and support application releases, maintenance activities, and system enhancements.

Skills Required:

• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in AS400 application development and support.
• Strong understanding of AS400-based enterprise application environments and software development practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot application defects and deliver stable, maintainable solutions.
• Experience working through the complete development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, development, testing, and implementation support.

Good to Have:

• Experience with IBM i, RPGLE, CL, DB2, Free-Form RPGLE, or SQL.

Education: B.E. or B.Tech degree.
