Summary
Maintain and enhance legacy IBM AS400/iSeries applications in RPGLE/CLLE for a banking client, using DB2/400 and SQL.
We are looking for an experienced AS400 Developer with strong expertise in IBM iSeries/AS400 application development, maintenance, and support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in RPGLE, CLLE, DB2/400, SQL, and should be capable of working independently in a banking or financial services environment.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the IBM AS400 (iSeries) platform.
- Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Design, code, test, and implement RPG-based applications.
- Perform production support, issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Develop and optimize DB2/400 database queries and stored procedures.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, and security compliance
- Exposure to core banking systems such as FIS Equation, retail lending, deposits, and payments processing.
- Strong experience in RPGLE, ILE RPG, CLLE, and CL Programming.
- Hands-on experience with DB2/400 and SQL.
- Experience with Query/400, SDA, RLU, DFU.
- Good understanding of AS400 architecture, job scheduling, and system utilities.
- Experience in debugging and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Change Management/Version Control tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
