About the Role
We are seeking an Asphalt Plant Inspector to support quality assurance and verification testing activities at asphalt production facilities, primarily throughout West-Central Florida. This role is ideal for individuals interested in developing a career in the construction materials testing industry. Previous asphalt and/or inspection experience is very helpful but not strictly required for this position; training and certification support will be provided for motivated candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe asphalt plant operations to verify compliance with project specifications and approved mix designs.
- Perform sampling of asphalt materials and aggregates in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor plant production, storage, and handling of materials.
- Verify plant calibrations, material temperatures, and production documentation.
- Accurately complete daily inspection reports and communicate findings to project managers and clients.
- Coordinate with plant personnel, field inspectors, and laboratory staff.
- Follow all safety requirements, company policies, and project-specific procedures.
