Job Description Summary:

The Department of Management at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, is recruiting a tenure-track faculty member to teach courses and provide program leadership in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, and Talent Development at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching load is 3-4 courses at the graduate and undergraduate level (9–12 credits) per semester. Teaching formats include in-person, Zoom, and online delivery.
  • Serve as the program lead for one or more programs:
    • MA in Human Resource Management
    • MA in Human Resource Development
    • MA in Talent Development
    • Undergraduate Emphasis in Human Resources
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of courses and programs using assessment, quality assurance, and enhancement strategies.
  • Develop innovative teaching methods and integrate applied, experiential learning where appropriate.
  • Foster student engagement through advising, career mentoring, and involvement in internship and field experiences.
  • Collaborate with businesses, non-profits, and government organizations to strengthen program relevance and student outcomes.
  • Support curriculum development, monitor learning outcomes, and ensure compliance with certification and accreditation requirements (e.g., SHRM alignment).
  • Participate in student recruitment, orientation, and retention initiatives.
  • Actively contribute to departmental, college, university, and professional service activities.
  • Maintain active engagement in scholarly research or professional practice within the human resources field.
