Job Description Summary:
The Department of Management at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, is recruiting a tenure-track faculty member to teach courses and provide program leadership in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, and Talent Development at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching load is 3-4 courses at the graduate and undergraduate level (9–12 credits) per semester. Teaching formats include in-person, Zoom, and online delivery.
- Serve as the program lead for one or more programs:
- MA in Human Resource Management
- MA in Human Resource Development
- MA in Talent Development
- Undergraduate Emphasis in Human Resources
- Oversee the continuous improvement of courses and programs using assessment, quality assurance, and enhancement strategies.
- Develop innovative teaching methods and integrate applied, experiential learning where appropriate.
- Foster student engagement through advising, career mentoring, and involvement in internship and field experiences.
- Collaborate with businesses, non-profits, and government organizations to strengthen program relevance and student outcomes.
- Support curriculum development, monitor learning outcomes, and ensure compliance with certification and accreditation requirements (e.g., SHRM alignment).
- Participate in student recruitment, orientation, and retention initiatives.
- Actively contribute to departmental, college, university, and professional service activities.
- Maintain active engagement in scholarly research or professional practice within the human resources field.
