GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Assist the Director of Athletics in planning, supervision and conducting the day-to-day operations of all NCAA and club sport athletic programs.
- Ensure the institution maintains compliance with all NCAA, Conference, State, and Institutional rules and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Agrees with the mission and vision of Dallas Baptist University.
- Is familiar with all NCAA DI and DII bylaws and institutional policies implemented to uphold them.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative leadership over the areas of business operations, financial management, club sports administration, facility scheduling, and event operations in support of the overall athletics department mission.
- Assist in all department-wide fundraising and related professional activities.
- Oversee departmental business operations including but not limited to budget management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card reconciliation, stipend and scholarship payments, and procurement processes.
- Prepare, monitor, and analyze departmental financial reports and ensure accurate and timely submission of all required financial documentation to institutional and conference offices.
- Identify areas of financial inefficiency or departmental growth and strategize data-informed solutions to improve operational effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary administrator for the Club Sports program, providing oversight of club sport organizations, coaches, rosters and enrollments, budgets, travel, eligibility, and competition scheduling.
- Develop and enforce Club Sports policies and procedures in accordance with institutional conference guidelines, ensuring all club sport activities reflect the values and standards of DBU Athletics.
- Coordinate with the Financial Aid and Business offices to ensure accurate application of athletic aid to student-athlete accounts in accordance with all NCAA, Conference, State, and institutional requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and assist in the preparation of institutional, conference, and NCAA reports as they relate to business operations.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position with regular office hours between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Weekends and nights may also be required.
