Assistant Executive, Accident & Health (A&H) Underwriting

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced A&H Underwriter to join our team. You will manage a panel of intermediaries, underwrite new business, review renewals, and support junior team members while driving portfolio growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new A&H business in accordance with underwriting guidelines and objectives
- Liaise with and advise intermediaries/insureds on A&H insurance matters
- Review renewal policies with claims records
- Monitor portfolio performance to ensure profitable growth
- Guide and coach junior underwriters and administrative assistants
- Provide support to Team Lead and other underwriters as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of underwriting experience in A&H insurance
- Completed MAS-required qualifications to advise on insurance matters
- Strong technical knowledge of A&H underwriting factors
- Good communication skills, tact, and patience in handling clients
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and interact with various stakeholders
- Team player, conscientious, and willing to learn new skills
