Assistant Manager - Civil (Non -Marine)

Key Accountabilities
• Assist in executing marine civil construction activities as per project schedule and budget.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and design specifications.
• Support resource planning and utilization in line with the Resource Mobilization Plan.
• Coordinate with contractors and site teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Identify and report potential risks or issues to the Section Head for timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of site progress, inspections, and quality checks.
• Facilitate effective communication between site teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on site.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Site Execution & Monitoring:
    Support the day-to-day execution of marine civil works, ensuring activities are carried out as per drawings and specifications. Monitor site progress and report deviations or delays to the Section Head.
  • Resource Coordination:
    Assist in managing labor, equipment, and materials on site. Ensure timely availability of resources and escalate shortages or inefficiencies.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance:
    Conduct routine inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. Report non-conformities and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Technical Support:
    Provide technical inputs during construction, resolve minor site-level issues, and coordinate with design and planning teams for clarifications.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Maintain daily progress reports, inspection records, and material usage logs. Ensure timely submission of reports to the Section Head.
  • Stakeholder Interaction:
    Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of tasks. Support resolution of site-level conflicts or queries.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and quality improvement initiatives. Suggest ideas for improving site productivity and safety.

*Qualifications and Experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Experience: 3–6 years of experience in marine civil construction or similar infrastructure projects.
