Assistant Manager - Procurement

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Coordination & Localization for the European Market

  • Coordinate proposals for new products tailored to European consumers, including evaluation and approval processes.

  • Localize product features, specifications, packaging, and design to meet EU market standards and regulations.

  • Manage and monitor the reordering process to ensure consistent stock availability across European stores and warehouses.

2. Price & Market Analysis (Europe Focus)

  • Conduct market surveys and benchmarking to compare pricing and identify competitive strategies for European markets.

  • Support cost and market analysis to ensure products deliver EU-relevant value and positioning.

3. Supplier Management

  • Ensure timely delivery of goods from suppliers in line with agreed terms and quality standards.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support European business requirements.

  • Identify and evaluate new manufacturers; conduct vendor assessments and create shortlists aligned with EU standards.

4. Reporting & Forecasting

  • Produce and review reports on sales performance, stock movement, and delivery timelines for the European assortment.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast EU product demand and adjust procurement plans accordingly.

5. Sales & Performance Monitoring

  • Track and analyze sales performance of localized EU products, providing actionable insights and recommendations for assortment optimization.

  • Work closely with Category Management to continuously enhance product relevance in the European market.

6. Negotiation & Contracting

  • Negotiate pricing, order quantities, and delivery schedules to ensure competitive costs and reliable supply for Europe.

  • Support contract management to ensure alignment with EU compliance and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, merchandising, or related functions.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) to coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with international procurement practices or exposure to European market requirements is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data for informed decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for supplier meetings, factory visits, and trade fairs.
