ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
Job Summary
Assist in coordinating construction projects by creating schedules, supervising site progress, enforcing safety compliance, liaising with stakeholders, and managing documentation to ensure timely, quality, and regulatory-compliant delivery.
Responsibilities
- Create and update project master schedules to ensure milestones are met and tasks are delegated efficiently
- Monitor daily site progress to verify construction aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations by coordinating with safety officers and assisting in routine site safety inspections
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to resolve site issues and secure plan approvals
- Manage project documentation including project files, Requests for Information (RFIs), submissions, and regular progress reports
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Building, or a related discipline
- Typically 2 to 5 years of relevant on-site experience in the construction or real estate industry
- Deep understanding of local building codes, statutory requirements, and submission processes
- Strong problem-solving, crisis management, multitasking, and interpersonal communication skills for managing diverse teams
