Assistant Project Manager
Summary
Oversee construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while coordinating teams and clients.
Job Description
- Manage and oversee all phases of projects.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Lead and mentor project teams including site supervisors, engineers and subcontractors to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns and managing expectations.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure all work meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate the allocation of resources including labor, materials and equipment to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and company safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses and provide financial reports to senior management, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation including contracts, change orders and progress reports, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible.
- Prepare tenders and quotations.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.
Requirements:
- At least Diploma qualification
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to lead and mentor project team members
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Computer literate with good general PC skills
- Prior experience in the waterproofing industry will be an added advantage.
- Class 3 driving licence
