Assistant Trader [Ferrous Raw Materials]

Responsibilities:

• Perform trading activities for ferrous raw materials, including sales and marketing functions.
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Coordinate with clients, overseas offices, and headquarters on daily operational matters.
• Handle order processing, shipment coordination, and logistics arrangements to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor and manage customer credit lines and inventory risks effectively.
• Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable and payable.
• Host and manage visits from overseas clients to ensure positive engagement and relationship building.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales; experience in trading or non-ferrous sectors is an added advantage.
• Strong interest in trading and willingness to learn commodity and metals trading.
• Understanding of finance and accounting concepts, including shipping processes and trade payment methods.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes on a regular basis.
• Proficiency in Mandarin language to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
• Experience in commodity trading, particularly in metals, is an added advantage.
• Possession of a valid driver’s licence is an added advantage.
