Associate Architect - Database Administrator

The Database Administrator is responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining databases to support business applications. The role ensures data integrity, performance, and availability while working closely with application and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibility:
  • Design, develop, and maintain relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Ensure database performance, scalability, security, and data integrity.
  • Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Support application development teams with database design and integration.
  • Manage data migration, backup, recovery, and archiving processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production and non-production environments.
  • Document database designs, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Monitor database health and performance
  • Identifying the migration approach, Design and Build for database migration.
  • Experience with SQL Server high availability technologies and disaster recovery methods.
  • SQL Server clustering, replication and log shipping.
  • Assist in backup, recovery, and security implementation
Mandatory Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server
  • T-SQL, SQL, SSIS Oracle RDBMS, Red Hat/SUSE Linux skills
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
  • Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Oracle Database
  • Exposure to cloud databases (AWS RDS / Azure SQL / GCP)
  • Familiarity with database tools such as SSMS, pgAdmin




Requirements

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Professional Certification Preferred:
  1. Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
  2. Oracle Certified DBA
  3. MongoDB Certified Developer (Associate/Professional)
  4. Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300)
Years of Exp: 10-15 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.

Job Specific Skills:
  • Strong experience with SQL and RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of data modeling and database architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning and indexing strategies.
  • Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP) preferred.
  • Understanding of data security, backup, and recovery best practices.
