- Assist Associate Risk Specialist / Risk Specialist in providing recommendations on technical matters, facilitate operationalization of global policies (e.g. Basel / IAIS etc), coordinate views among stakeholders in financial stability sector and perform continuous horizontal surveillance across the industry in line with achieving the Bank's mandate of financial stability.
- Technical matters includes model related items (development, review and use of models), and policy or research items.
- Support the effective implementation of strategic initiatives related to operational resilience and risk, contributing to the Bank’s mandate of safeguarding financial stability.
- Assisting Associate Risk Specialists in executing horizontal surveillance across the financial industry to identify and monitor emerging operational risks. This includes data-based analysis and analytical work.
- Assist in the review of internal risk measurement methodologies, statistical approaches and practices across the industry to ensure they are in line with regulatory requirements and global best practices.
- Participate in critical technical review of global regulatory reforms to facilitate management decision
- Contributing to data analysis, reporting, and development of supervisory tools that enhance early detection and mitigation of risks to financial institutions and market infrastructures.
- Participating in sector-wide initiatives aimed at strengthening the resilience of financial institutions against operational disruptions and threats.
- Providing analytical and operational support in policy development and supervisory activities to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices. Assist in the co-development of selected technical policy documents.
- Fostering strong industry collaboration to promote knowledge sharing, adoption of best practices, and alignment with regulatory expectations.
- Supporting coordination efforts with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and cohesive risk management responses across the financial stability sector.
- Supporting Associate Risk Specialists to strengthen supervisory capacity by contributing to the upskilling of supervisors in operational resilience and risk framework and practices.
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
- Accounting
- Statistics
- Mathematics
- Finance
- Risk Management
- Data Scientist
- Computer Science
- Actuarial Science
- Information Technology-based
- Cyber Security-based, or any related discipline
Professional Qualifications: Certification related to Non-Financial Risk such as operational risk, technology risk, cyber security risk, Business Continuity Management will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Min 2 years of work experience
- Working experience related to non-financial risk related, data analyst is a plus
- Exposure to financial sector risk, data analysis, or tech-related projects is a plus
