Engagement Profile

The role would primarily involve:

  • Assisting in matters relating to Direct and Indirect Taxation, including Income Tax, GST, Customs, and allied laws;
  • Supporting the team in handling tax disputes, assessments, investigations, compliance matters, and regulatory proceedings;
  • Conducting legal research and analysis on taxation laws, judicial precedents, notifications, circulars, and regulatory developments;
  • Drafting and assisting in the preparation of appeals, replies, petitions, applications, rejoinders, legal advisories, memos, and other legal documents;
  • Assisting in litigation, quasi-judicial proceedings, and tax advisory assignments under the guidance of senior professionals;
  • Supporting filings and procedural work before tax authorities, tribunals, and other forums in coordination with clerks and support staff;
  • Managing case records, documentation, and internal knowledge resources in a structured and professional manner;
  • Adapting quickly to digital tools and internal systems such as Zoho, Microsoft Teams, and other technology platforms used by the Firm;
  • Contributing to the Firm's knowledge database through case law compilations, statute summaries, white papers, articles, newsletters, and internal research initiatives.​


Requirements

Academic Qualification

  • Must be a qualified Advocate (LL.B.) enrolled with the Bar Council of India, and/or a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Freshly qualified professionals and candidates with up to three (3) years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
