Role Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Assistant Manager – Talent Acquisition to join our Talent Acquisition team in Egypt.
The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment across assigned business areas, partnering closely with business and HR stakeholders, developing effective sourcing strategies, and ensuring a high-quality candidate and hiring-manager experience.
The successful candidate will combine strong recruitment expertise, stakeholder management skills, market knowledge, and a data-driven approach to support Mashreq's growth and talent agenda in Egypt.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from requisition intake and sourcing through interviewing, offer management, and onboarding coordination.
* Partner with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to understand manpower requirements, role profiles, and hiring priorities.
* Develop effective sourcing and headhunting strategies for specialist, professional, and high-volume positions.
* Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn, databases, referrals, networking, and other sourcing channels.
* Conduct candidate screening and assessments to ensure strong technical, competency, and cultural alignment.
* Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future business requirements.
* Advise stakeholders on talent availability, market trends, compensation expectations, and recruitment challenges.
* Ensure recruitment activities are completed within agreed SLAs and hiring timelines.
* Manage offer negotiations and support candidates throughout the pre-employment and onboarding process.
* Maintain accurate recruitment data and provide regular reporting on vacancies, pipelines, hiring progress, and recruitment KPIs.
* Monitor key metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, pipeline conversion, and candidate experience.
* Ensure recruitment processes comply with internal policies, governance requirements, and applicable employment regulations.
* Support employer-branding and talent-attraction initiatives in the Egyptian market.
* Build strong relationships with recruitment agencies and other external talent partners where required.
* Promote diversity, inclusion, and fair hiring practices throughout the recruitment process.
* Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, candidate experience, and overall hiring effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
* Approximately 5–7 years of Talent Acquisition / Recruitment experience, preferably within a structured corporate environment.
* Experience managing end-to-end recruitment across multiple functions and seniority levels.
* Strong experience in direct sourcing and headhunting, particularly through LinkedIn and professional networks.
* Experience within banking, financial services, fintech, multinational organizations, or large corporate environments is an advantage.
* Proven ability to manage multiple vacancies and hiring priorities simultaneously.
* Experience working closely with senior business stakeholders and HR leadership.
* Strong understanding of the Egyptian talent market.

We are looking for someone who is not simply focused on closing vacancies, but who can act as a Talent Acquisition partner to the business understanding business needs, challenging where appropriate, providing market intelligence, building sustainable talent pipelines, and delivering an excellent experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
• Develop plans for the budget hiring with the Line Manager.
• Coordinate with Line Managers to define the TA requirements and develop candidate specifications for the open positions.
• Responsible for talent acquisition of required staff within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Maintain market information about the positions handled.
• Ownership of recruitment processes and related documentation and timely and accurate reporting.
• Management of internal referral process (Mashreq Talent Search).
• Manage and maintain candidate pipeline.
• Attract appropriate candidates for the position through the internal advertising and as required a network of recruitment agencies/advertisements/other sources.
• Maintain a CV databank for relevant positions in the Bank by scanning all resumes received through the mail/walk in candidates.
• Conduct interviews in order to shortlist candidates for open positions
• Recommend grade/salary for the new recruits.
• Conduct due diligence for all external recruits including written, verbal reference checks and any other screening procedure.
• Responsible for induction of staff up to grade J into the Bank.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate TA reports and sharing same with PICG at H.O. in line with the reporting calendar
• Responsible for general recruitment administration including the updating of details on system.
• 4-5 years of Talent Acquisition experience in a similar position.
• A good understanding of the banks business requirements
• Experience and skills in evaluation of candidates to assess job and profile fit.
• Must have through knowledge of immigration and labor law.
• Explicit attention to detail.
• Fluency in written and spoken English Language.
