Atlassian Data Center Administrator
Key Requirements
- 5+ years administering Jira and Confluence
- 3+ years working with Atlassian Data Center
- Strong experience supporting enterprise-scale Atlassian environments
Core Responsibilities
1. Service Quality Maintenance
- Ensure availability, stability, and performance of Jira and Confluence Data Center
- Minimize major incidents
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Recommend permanent fixes and workarounds
2. Platform Lifecycle Management
- Plan and execute Jira, Confluence, and plugin upgrades
- Validate releases through testing
- Manage plugin compatibility (e.g., Exalate)
- Maintain platform currency and security
3. Infrastructure Management
- Collaborate with teams managing:
- Linux servers
- Databases
- Storage systems
- Data Center clusters
- Load balancers
4. Governance & Expertise
- Apply Atlassian administration best practices
- Participate in configuration governance
- Maintain technical documentation
- Support integrations with:
- Other Atlassian instances
- ServiceNow
- Splunk
- Work closely with Atlassian Cloud teams
