Auto Loan Sales Team Lead
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Auto Loan Sales Team Lead to lead our automotive finance sales team and drive growth across new and used vehicle lending. This role is ideal for a confident sales professional who combines strong leadership skills with a solid understanding of auto finance, customer experience, and sales performance management.
You will be responsible for coaching sales representatives, managing the end-to-end auto loan sales process, developing dealer and customer relationships, and achieving team revenue and loan-book targets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing auto loan sales team.
- Set clear sales goals, track performance, and deliver regular coaching and feedback.
- Manage the complete auto loan sales cycle, from lead generation and application to approval, documentation, and disbursement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive dealerships, brokers, partners, and customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and implement strategies to increase loan applications and approvals.
- Ensure sales activities comply with company policies, lending regulations, credit guidelines, and responsible lending standards.
- Collaborate with credit, operations, collections, risk, and customer service teams to improve turnaround times and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor sales pipelines, conversion rates, approval ratios, portfolio quality, and other key performance indicators.
- Resolve escalated customer or dealer concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market updates for management.
- Stay informed about automotive finance trends, competitor offerings, customer needs, and market opportunities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in auto finance, consumer lending, banking, vehicle sales, or a related field.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or coaching a sales team.
- Strong knowledge of auto loan products, credit processes, documentation, and sales compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused, ethical, organized, and commercially minded.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
