Automation QA Engineer
We are looking for Automation QA Engineers to join a long-term programme modernising core insurance systems. The role focuses on increasing automation coverage for desktop applications, supporting system upgrades, and improving testing efficiency through UI automation, API testing, and structured SQL-based validation in a mature enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for desktop applications
• Create and execute UI, integration, and API test scenarios
• Develop test components, reusable scripts, and maintain existing frameworks
• Analyse test outcomes, troubleshoot defects, and support resolution
• Prepare, manage, and validate test data using SQL
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and developers in ongoing delivery
• Participate in regression, release validation, and quality reporting
• Work with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, Jenkins
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years experience in test automation
• Experience testing desktop applications (Windows Forms or similar)
• Solid working knowledge of API testing (REST or SOAP)
• Strong SQL capability for validation and data checks
• Experience with Git, CI pipelines, and structured QA processes
• Ability to work independently in a structured enterprise environment
• Good communication skills in Polish and English
Nice to have
• Experience with UFT One (Micro Focus)
• Experience in insurance or financial systems
• Familiarity with POM/POP patterns
• Exposure to performance testing
• QA certifications or formal training
