Position: Test Automation engineer

Location: Coimbatore

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelors degree in computer science or computer engineering, or related technical field

Tasks / Responsibilities: *

Act as a technical guide for the QA and engineering teams on test strategy.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA engineers to define test requirements and ensure coverage across the test pyramid
Design and maintain test cases, traceability, and defect tracking in tools such as Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail.
Write and maintain Automated tests for backend Node.js Lambda services.
Build and maintain React Native unit tests with React Native Testing Library and Jest.
Develop and maintain Black box testing suites for Server, iOS, and Android applications
Develop and maintain grey box testing suites for Server, iOS, and Android applications
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub actions
Document test results, report defects, and track issues through resolution.
Contribute to quality metrics, defect phase tracking, and release readiness reporting.
Perform manual testing when needed for exploration coverage, triage, or validation of complex scenarios.

Expected skill set: *

(Top 5 must have skills in the order of priority):

Strong experience in Test Driven Development
Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines
Strong experience in JavaScript and Typescript
Experience Unit Testing User Interfaces like React, or React-Native
Strong understanding of shift-left testing, test pyramid design, and test layering strategies.
Strong experience with Mocking Frameworks
Experience designing maintainable and scalable test architectures.
Experience with data-driven testing, reusable fixtures, and clean code practices.

“Good to Have” skills:

Skills
