The Bell AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom make up the US Marine Corps’ Light Attack Helicopter fleet, providing a vast array of mission critical capabilities to Marines and their allies. The Bell H-1 Program is working on numerous engineering projects to increase the lethality and lifespan of the Viper and Venom. Avionics Integration Engineer, AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom Team.
The Avionics Integration Engineer will be responsible for developing, managing, and communicating the integration & test requirements for military upgrade development programs to internal and external customers.
What you’ll be doing as an Avionics Integration Engineer\:
· Apply engineering principles to investigate, design, develop, implement, test, and analyze avionics systems integrations.
· Perform hardware and software integration testing of multiple systems operating together in a systems integration lab.
· Support all phases of development from design, qualification, integration testing, flight test, and production to meet customer requirements.
· Create system performance specifications, interface control documents, and test plans/procedures
· Performs air vehicle and systems level analysis to verify performance requirements are met
· Suggest design improvements / spiral opportunities to improve current integrated avionics and weapon system capabilities.
· Provide technical guidance and oversight of subcontractors to verify performance, cost, and schedule requirements are met. Works closely with the Business Development organization to propose technical solutions to support new business opportunities.
