Summary

Design, build, and support AWS-hosted infrastructure and applications, combining hands-on cloud engineering with production support, incident response, and on-call duties. Core technologies include AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, EKS), Terraform/CloudFormation, and CI/CD tooling.

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, operate, and support cloud infrastructure and applications hosted on AWS. The role combines hands-on cloud engineering with production support, ensuring cloud environments are secure, reliable, scalable, and highly available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services on AWS.

  • Manage and support AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, Route 53 and Load Balancers.

  • Provide production support for AWS-hosted applications and infrastructure, including incident investigation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and service restoration.

  • Monitor system health, availability, performance and capacity, and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

  • Support incident, problem and change management processes for production environments.

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or AWS native services.

  • Work with application, DevOps, security and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues across application and cloud infrastructure layers.

  • Implement AWS security best practices, including IAM, network security, encryption, logging and access controls.

  • Automate operational and repetitive tasks using scripting such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.

  • Participate in production deployments, maintenance activities and, where required, on-call support.

  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, runbooks and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure or Production Support, with strong hands-on AWS experience.

  • Good understanding of AWS architecture, networking, security and high-availability concepts.

  • Hands-on experience with core AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS and CloudWatch.

  • Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.

  • Experience supporting production environments, including incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/EKS is advantageous.

  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK, Grafana or similar.

  • Good scripting and automation skills.

  • Understanding of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively during production incidents.

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator or DevOps Engineer would be advantageous.
