Aws Cloud Operations Engineer

Required Skills

• 23 years of hands-on AWS Cloud Operations experience.
• Current and verifiable AWS Associate-level certification or higher.
• Good knowledge of AWS Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring services.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, VPN, and Firewalls.
• Working knowledge of SD-WAN technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, VMware VeloCloud, or Palo Alto Networks.
• Experience with ticketing/PSA tools and ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear technical tickets, documentation, and shift handoffs.
• Willingness to work fixed shifts, including roster-based weekend and holiday support.
• Willingness to pursue additional technical certifications as part of ongoing professional development.
• Must be able to successfully complete background verification covering employment, education, address, and criminal records.

Preferred Skills

• Azure certification or hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
• ITIL certification.
• Networking certification (vendor-specific or vendor-neutral).
• Scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude for:
  
• Incident triage and log analysis.
• Ticket and handoff documentation.
• Runbook and knowledge base creation.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) drafting.
• Diagnostic scripting.
• Experience supporting regulated industries such as Banking & Financial Services, Healthcare, and Higher Education.
• Additional certifications such as AWS Professional/Specialty, Azure, Networking, or SD-WAN vendor certifications.

Certification & Learning Expectations

Candidates are expected to maintain their existing AWS certification and continuously work toward additional certifications identified in their individual development plans. Ongoing technical learning and certification achievement are an integral part of this role.
