AWS Platform Engineer | 2-Year Contract | Up to $8,000 | Public Sector
Summary
Design, deploy, and maintain secure AWS-based cloud infrastructure for an enterprise integration platform, using CloudFormation, CI/CD, and AWS services like Lambda and VPC.
We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to support and continuously improve an Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) platform running on Amazon Web Services.
You will design, deploy, administer and maintain secure cloud-native backend infrastructure supporting data exchange between internal systems and external entities. The role includes developing Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation or equivalent tools, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and supporting AWS services such as Lambda, VPC, security, routing, load balancing, DNS and connectivity.
You will also contribute to cloud infrastructure hardening, monitoring, incident support, operational improvements and compliance activities. The role requires close collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of direct experience implementing or administering AWS-based systems.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in DevOps or DevSecOps pipelines.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with CI/CD, AWS networking and cloud security.
Experience with EAI, middleware, APIs, messaging or enterprise system integration is required.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
