Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Review ABELDents existing Azure environment and requirements.
• Design an appropriate Azure Virtual Desktop architecture using Windows 11 Enterprise Multi-Session.
• Configure AVD host pools, session hosts, application access and related supporting resources.
• Design the environment to support multiple simultaneous users while appropriately isolating user sessions.
• Automate provisioning and management wherever practical.
• Implement appropriate scaling and start/stop mechanisms to control unnecessary Azure consumption.
• Configure identity, authentication and access controls appropriate for external and internal users.
• Implement appropriate profile and session-management technologies.
• Address networking and security requirements associated with connecting the AVD environment to ABELDent Cloud resources.
• Establish a repeatable process for creating and maintaining session hosts.
• Develop monitoring and troubleshooting procedures, document the architecture and provide knowledge transfer.

Preferred candidate profile

• Built production Windows 11 multi-session AVD environments.
• Automated AVD creation and management using Terraform, Bicep or equivalent Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
• Designed environments for software demonstrations, training, labs, development, testing or temporary user access.
• Implemented automatic scaling or start/stop mechanisms designed to reduce Azure consumption.
• Experience securely connecting AVD session hosts to Azure-hosted SaaS applications and databases.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications.

Preferred Working Hours

Candidates who are available to work between 2:00 PM and 11:00 PM IST will be preferred.

This schedule supports collaboration and coordination with the North American technical team.
