Backend & Cloud Intern: Build Live APIs & AWS

Musixmatch S.p.a in Bologna is looking for a Backend & Cloud Infrastructure Intern to join their team. This internship lasts 6 months with a monthly reimbursement of €800. You will gain hands-on experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs using modern cloud infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will have a good knowledge of Python, basic understanding of APIs, and an interest in cloud technologies. A collaborative mindset and English proficiency are essential.

Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI. Design backend services with attention to performance, scalability, and clean structure. Work with PostgreSQL and Redis for data storage, caching, and session management. Integrate AWS services such as S3 and SES using boto3. Contribute to authentication and authorization flows (OAuth 2.0, JWT). Support AI-related backend features using Amazon Bedrock APIs. Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth API integration. Work within a CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure managed via Terraform. Debug, test, and improve existing backend services. Good knowledge of Python. Basic understanding of APIs and web development concepts. Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL). Interest in cloud technologies (AWS is a plus). Understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows. Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn. Ability to work in English.
