Backend Developer - Data Power (3 Months)
Summary
A 3-month contract role in Indonesia configuring and developing IBM DataPower Gateway services: XML/JSON transformations with XSLT/GatewayScript/XQuery, API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS), back-end integrations over HTTP/MQ/JDBC, plus troubleshooting, testing support, documentation, and DEV-to-PROD deployments.
Backend Developer - Data Power (3 Months)
- Configure and develop IBM DataPower Gateway services.
- Handle XML/JSON transformation using XSLT, GatewayScript, and XQuery.
- Implement API security such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL/mTLS, and rate limiting.
- Integrate APIs with back-end systems using HTTP, MQ, JDBC, and other protocols.
- Troubleshoot API/DataPower issues and analyze logs.
- Support SIT, UAT, security testing, and production issues.
- Prepare technical documentation.
- Support deployment from DEV to PROD.
- Ensure development follows company security and architecture standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in API development.
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with IBM DataPower.
- Good knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, XSLT, WSDL, and XSD.
- Understanding of API security such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, OIDC, and mTLS.
- Experience with Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar technologies.
- Good knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Familiar with Linux, Git, and CI/CD.
- Banking/financial industry experience is a plus.
- Experience with IBM API Connect, IBM MQ, ACE, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift is a plus.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Able to work under deadlines and support production issues when needed.
