About the role
The Backend Developer will design, implement and maintain server-side logic, databases, and API services using FastAPI. You'll collaborate closely with frontend and DevOps teams to deliver robust, low-latency microservices in a cloud-native environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RESTful and WebSocket APIs with FastAPI
- Architect and build scalable microservices
- Integrate third-party services and databases
- Write clean, testable, and reusable Python code
- Optimize performance, troubleshoot and debug backend systems
- Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring
- Work cross-functionally with frontend and product teams
Qualifications required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BSCS)
- 2+ years of professional Python backend development
- Proven experience with FastAPI or similar ASGI frameworks
- Strong knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis) databases
- Solid understanding of REST principles and async programming
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP services
- Exposure to event-driven architecture and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Comfort with Agile/Scrum processes
