Backend Developer Intern

About the Role

Tezza Business Solutions, a leading Software QA and Testing multinational, is seeking a Backend Developer Intern to support the development, testing, and maintenance of server-side application components building APIs, implementing business logic, working with databases, and integrating third-party services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend services and REST APIs
• Implement application business logic based on product requirements
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
• Assist with database schema design, queries, migrations, and data validation
• Integrate third-party services and APIs
• Implement authentication, authorization, and access-control features
• Help identify and fix backend bugs
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Write unit and integration tests
• Assist with API documentation
• Use Git and GitHub for source control
• Work with frontend developers to integrate APIs

Requirements

• Recent graduate, self-taught professional, or early-career individual
• Basic knowledge of the role; relevant training or project experience required
• Basic understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Familiarity with Node.js and backend frameworks (NestJS, Express.js, or similar)
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and authentication concepts (JWT, sessions, RBAC)
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub
• Nice to have: PostgreSQL, Docker, Redis/queues, payment/email API integration, cloud deployment basics
