Backend Developer
Summary
Builds and maintains backend services for Octet's fintech payments/cash-flow platform using C# and .NET, working with REST/SOAP APIs, message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka), and stores like MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch in modular monolith/microservices architectures, with a plus for AI/LLM experience.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.
- Solid knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, clean code, and design patterns.
- Experience with asynchronous programming, RESTful APIs, and SOAP services.
- Experience with message queues and event-driven systems, preferably RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, Entity Framework Core, MS SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL.
- Experience in modular monolith and microservices architectures.
- Ability to write scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code.
- Familiarity with automated testing and TDD/BDD practices.
Nice to Have
- Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day software development workflows,
- Hands-on experience with LLM-based applications or AI-powered projects,
- Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and model-agnostic persistent memory architectures,
- Experience developing control mechanisms for custom agents, including authorization, validation, tool access, and human-in-the-loop approval workflows,
- Experience with payment systems or high-volume transactional applications.
