Backend Engineer

Build and scale backend services for a fintech BNPL and digital lending platform using Java/Spring Boot, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.

- Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring that the code is maintainable, scalable, and efficient. Participate in the development and implementation of best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, to delivery fine technical plans and suggestions for feature implementation.
- Generate high quality technical documentation, including API documentation and system architecture diagrams. Improve working efficiency with usage of latest Agentic AI technologies.
- Conduct high quality code reviews, providing feedback to the team to ensure that the code meets best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
- Deliver automated testing and deployment of the backend systems, ensuring that they meet the requirements and are bug free, scalable and efficient.
- Continuously learn and improve skills through self-study, attending conferences, and participating in training programs. Mentor and coach junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support to ensure that they are growing and developing their skills.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in backend engineering, including experience in designing and developing scalable and efficient backend systems.
- At least 2 years experience leading a team of backend engineers and delivering successful projects.
- Strong skills in Server Side Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST, Maven, Github and other open source Java Libraries.
- Rich experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Good grasp of Data structures & Algorithm concepts, demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
- Rich knowledge in relational database design and query optimization.
- Experience in Golang/Docker/Kubernetes/Microservices technology.
- Ability in managing multiple tasks and timeline in a fast-pace environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong written and verbal skills in English.
