Backend Engineer III (FinTech) - Hybrid, Stock Options

Satispay is seeking a Backend Engineer III to design, build and operate mission-critical consumer features in a scalable AWS-based environment. You’ll own end-to-end lifecycle and contribute to core user functionalities like BNPL, Gift Cards, mobile top-ups and Personal IBAN transfers.

The role emphasizes strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, relational databases, and microservices, with cross-functional collaboration and a focus on reliability and maintainability.

Own end-to-end lifecycle from design to production of consumer features. Build and maintain core user functionalities like BNPL, Gift Cards, top-ups and transfers. Improve backend logic and reliability of budget mechanics and top-ups. Work with AWS-based infrastructure and drive architectural improvements across microservices. Collaborate with Product/UX and participate in code reviews and refactoring. 3+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable services. Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, relational databases and cloud environments. Experience with microservices and designing reliable backend systems.
