Backend Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the role

Pacifica Blue Holdings Corp. is a newly established joint venture building its founding software team in Makati CBD. You'll work on membership management and back-office platform systems, collaborating directly with the Taiwan engineering team in a fixed day shift, AI-first development environment with AI coding tools provided, and a real chance to grow with the team from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend systems for membership management and back-office platforms


• Collaborate with Taiwan engineering team on software development


• Debug independently across API, database, and logs


• Work with Node.js, Express, Next.js API routes, and TypeScript


• Manage MySQL or MS SQL databases and Redis systems


• Utilize AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day work

About you

• 2+ years of professional backend development experience


• Node.js (Express / Next.js API routes); TypeScript required


• MySQL or MS SQL required; Redis a plus


• AWS or GCP exposure; Git


• Able to debug independently across API → database → logs


• Proficient with AI-assisted development tools


• GitHub profile (or code samples) required with application


• Nice to have: admin / back-office tools; webhook or message-queue integrations; working Vue.js knowledge
