### **We are ScriptSense - World Leading AI tools for Pharmacy, and we are looking for software developers to join our team.** www.scriptsense.co.nz We are a distributed team of engineers, the majority based in India, with the rest across Australia and New Zealand. We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join us, designing, developing, and maintaining the core server-side logic for our web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and designers, to create robust and scalable solutions. **Compensation**: ₹20–24 LPA, plus up to ₹3L in annual ESOP. **Working hours**: Core hours overlap with our Australia/New Zealand team; flexible outside of that. **Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Golang and Node.js. * Write clean, efficient, and reusable code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards. * Build scalable and high-performance REST and GraphQL APIs to support web and mobile applications. * Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate server-side logic with the user interface. * Set up and monitor observability tooling for APIs. * Implement and adhere to strong security standards. * Maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. * Maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible. * Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability, and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. * Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of the code. * Work closely with product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions. * Stay up to date with backend development trends and recommend new technologies or methodologies where appropriate. * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, reviewing their code and offering constructive feedback. **Requirements** Must have * Proven track record as a Backend Developer in Golang, Node.js, or similar languages, with a focus on server-side applications. * Experience building GraphQL / RESTful APIs and working with databases (NoSQL preferred). * Solid understanding of software design principles (SOLID, DRY) and architectures (MVC, Service-based, Clean architecture). * Familiarity with Git, and with Docker / Docker Compose / Devcontainers. * Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience. Desirable * Proficiency in writing efficient and optimised Golang code. * Familiarity with modern auth standards like OAuth, JWT, OPA. * Familiarity with security baselines like OWASP Top 10. * Familiarity with observability systems like OpenTelemetry. * Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively within a team. * Join our team and help shape the backend architecture behind cutting-edge AI tools for pharmacy — working alongside colleagues across India, Australia, and New Zealand, with real ownership over the systems you build.
