Backend Java Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain payment gateway and payment orchestration platforms.

• Build and integrate APIs for UPI collections, payment links, merchant payments, payouts, and connected banking.

• Develop secure REST APIs and integrate third-party banking, fintech, and payment service provider APIs.

• Implement payment routing, transaction processing, webhook handling, reconciliation, refunds, and settlement workflows.

• Develop merchant dashboards, admin panels, and transaction monitoring systems.

• Ensure API security, data protection, high availability, and transaction reliability.

• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.

• Collaborate with product, banking partnership, and business teams to deliver new fintech solutions.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience in backend development using Java, Spring boot, or a similar technology.

• Experience with frontend technologies such as React.js, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, API authentication, and third-party integrations.

• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server.

• Knowledge of Redis, queues, caching, and asynchronous processing.

• Familiarity with Git, Linux, cloud infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring.

• Understanding of secure coding practices and transaction-level error handling.

Preferred Experience

• Payment Gateway or Payment Orchestration Platform development.

• UPI integration, payment links, collections, payouts, and connected banking APIs.

• Banking API integrations and fintech transaction processing.

• Payment routing, reconciliation, refunds, settlements, and chargeback workflows.

• PCI DSS requirements and payment data security.
