Backend Team Lead

Discussion

Remedio is transforming how organizations reduce cyber risk.

While most security tools focus on finding problems, Remedio focuses on fixing them.

Our Autonomous Remediation Platform helps enterprises continuously and safely reduce exposure by remediating vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, closing patching gaps, hardening systems, enforcing compliance, governing applications, and controlling AI risk.

By combining deep dependency awareness, pre-execution validation, automated remediation, and instant rollback, Remedio enables organizations to eliminate risk across endpoints, servers, applications, and AI systems - without disrupting business operations.

Founded in 2019, Remedio spent its first years as a bootstrapped, profitable company, building a strong enterprise customer base before raising a $65M Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners.

Today, more than 300 enterprise organizations trust Remedio to protect over 3M devices worldwide, including Amazon, Colgate-Palmolive, Kraft Heinz, Coca-Cola, and many more.

As we continue expanding our platform and growing our global business, we’re looking for exceptional people who want to take ownership, solve meaningful challenges, and help shape the next chapter of Remedio’s journey.

Were looking for a Backend Team Lead to join our team!

About the Role

As Backend Team Lead, you'll own the delivery, growth, and culture of the backend engineering team.

You'll stay technical and hands-on, while your primary lever shifts from personal output to team output. The systems you're responsible for collect, process, and

remediate vulnerability data from millions of endpoints across the world's largest enterprises. Reliability and scale aren't features - they're the baseline.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Manage and grow a team of backend engineers
  • Own team delivery: planning sprints, managing scope, communicating status to stakeholders, and keeping commitments
  • Build a healthy team culture based on direct feedback, high standards, and continuous improvement
  • Play an active role in hiring: own the technical interview process and be accountable for who joins the team

Technical Ownership

  • Stay hands-on on meaningful work: architecture decisions, critical features, and code reviews
  • Lead technical planning for major features in partnership with Product and other team leaders in the organization
  • Define and uphold engineering standards: testing strategy, code review quality, CI/CD practices, and incident response
  • Build for scale, making sure all aspects of our system are ready for organizations with hundreds of thousands of devices

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience, with preference for Go
  • At least 1-2 years of hands-on people management or formal team lead experience
  • Experience owning team delivery end-to-end: planning, execution, and stakeholder communication
  • Solid foundation in cloud-native systems, containers and databases
  • Clear communicator: able to translate technical tradeoffs for product and non-technical leadership
  • High ownership mindset; comfortable operating with autonomy

Nice to Have

  • Background in cybersecurity, endpoint management, or enterprise SaaS
  • Experience with high-volume, agent-connected systems at scale
  • Familiarity with security-sensitive design (least privilege, audit trails, supply chain integrity)
