Basketball Staff
Description: Provide a structured class teaching students in basketball skills and various other sports related to the sports department.
- Basketball staff teach children ranging in age from 3 to 17 years old the basics of playing the sport. This includes dribbling, shooting baskets, defending, and footwork.
- Basketball staff may referee weekend basketball games.
- Basketball staff coordinate the registration of participants.
- This position is not primarily a coaching position. However, basketball staff may be periodically asked to be a substitute coach when a volunteer coach is absent.
- All sports instructors assist in the success of all sports program duties such as fundraising, special events, and marketing.
- All sports instructors ensure the safety of all program participants.
- Hours: Part-time, non-exempt
- Must be available on Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Weekday hours may vary in evenings
- Wage: $16.90 per hour
- Worksite: Anaheim Downtown Youth Center and West Anaheim Youth Center
