Project


You will be involved in a project focused on Technical Recovery Playbook testing within the financial services sector. The role is centered around the planning, execution, facilitation, and reporting of desktop testing exercises designed to validate technical recovery procedures, operational readiness, and recovery assumptions.
You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across business, technology, operations, and support functions to identify gaps, improve recovery processes, and ensure alignment between technical recovery, business continuity, and crisis management activities. This position focuses on desktop testing execution, facilitation, and reporting rather than enterprise-level ownership of recovery methodologies or resilience frameworks.

Responsibilities you'll have

  • Design and plan desktop testing exercises aligned with Technical Recovery Playbook objectives and regulatory expectations
  • Develop realistic scenarios that validate recovery procedures, failover sequences, and system interdependencies
  • Facilitate and host testing workshops with stakeholders across business units, technology, operations, and support functions
  • Manage exercise logistics, participant engagement, documentation, session facilitation, and team coordination
  • Develop exercise playbooks, participant guides, and facilitator notes for repeatable testing execution
  • Track action items, coordinate follow-up activities, and provide updates to senior leadership and programme governance
  • Document findings, observations, gaps, and recommendations resulting from testing exercises
  • Collaborate with business continuity and crisis management teams to ensure alignment across recovery and continuity plans

Expected competences and knowledge

  • 3-5 years of experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Operational Resilience, or related disciplines
  • At least 1-2 years of experience focused on testing, exercising, or technical recovery planning
  • Hands-on experience designing and executing desktop simulations, tabletop exercises, walkthroughs, and full-scale simulations
  • Strong understanding of RTO, RPO, failover procedures, system interdependencies, and recovery sequencing
  • Experience within the financial services industry (banking, insurance, or equivalent)
  • Proven expertise in Business Continuity and Crisis Management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
  • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
