Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist - Medical to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing with specific expertise in infusion billing, rheumatology, specialty billing, and clinic billing. This role requires prior experience in these areas to ensure accurate and timely processing of medical claims and reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and submit medical claims related to infusion services, rheumatology, specialty, and clinic billing accurately and timely.
• Review and verify billing information for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and denials.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and insurance policies related to specialty medical services.
• Prepare and analyze billing reports to ensure compliance and optimize reimbursement.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment options.
• Collaborate with the medical and administrative teams to streamline billing processes.

Required Skills and Experience

• Prior experience with Infusion Billing, Rheumatology, Specialty Billing, and Clinic Billing is required.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing codes, insurance claims processing, and reimbursement procedures.
• Proficiency with billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical billing or related field preferred.
