Summary
A BIM Modeller creates 3D models of Mechanical & Electrical systems from 2D schematics, performs clash detection to resolve spatial conflicts, and maintains as-built documentation. Daily work involves using Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD to support project managers and engineers in Singapore's construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- 3D Modelling & Shop Drawings: Translating 2D engineering schematics into data-rich 3D models.
- Clash Detection & Resolution: Identifying and solving spatial conflicts between M&E services and architectural/structural elements.
- As-Built Documentation: Updating models throughout the construction lifecycle to reflect final on-site installations.
- Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and drafters to ensure compliance with project specifications and local building codes. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Technical Skills & Requirements
